Ferrell Gas a propane delivery company is independently owned by the employees.

I became alarmed after receiving my bill and was charged $3.25 per gallon for gas.

About a week later and out and about I spotted a Ferrell delivery truck filling a tank at a local gas station. The posted price was $2.19 per gallon.

I called Ferrell and told them about my observation and asked why the huge Rip Off pricing. The sales lady was curt and said I had to speak with the manager. After asking nicely and not buy the excuse of rising oil prices and explaining that his product was NOT tied to that index because I looked up and quoted to him. I also mention that I would be talking to TV station 7 on Your Side in SF bay area. After that he finally reduced the price to $2.19 per gallon.

Then speaking with the driver the following month I found out that Ferrell employees have sales meeting and are encouraged to lie about the price of the gas and force the highest price they can on unsuspecting customers.

He told me since I complained and threaten to expose there practices was the only reason I got a some what lower price. That driver later quit and went in to criminal justice field. He told me he could not sleep knowing that the guy right next door to me paid $1000.00 more for the same amount of gas I bought and that commercial customers got the worst deal and is excessively gouged.

I felt some OK paying the street price and also alerted my neighbors and after they too complained they got lower pricing too.

But what was really raw and unacceptable was the way they treat customers who have a leaking tank. The new drive told me that all tanks leak some gas (this is a lie and is also extremely dangerous). So I called again and told them my tank was leaking and that I went out and used a spray bottle and discovered 10 separate leaks.

They then when told me I have to shut it down and vacate the premises. I told them that the drive said that all tanks leak etc. She then said they would come right out and make repairs. The tank was down to 2 percent left.

They discover that the tank needed a new regulator and replace it and then tried to charge me for there device that failed. I also asked about getting the tank filled. They lady told me they could come out in a week to 10 days. I told her I was down to 2 percent and I would run out gas before the week was up. My wife has MS and requires a constant temperature and running out of gas is not acceptable. She then told me if I paid $100 service change they could have someone out in 2 hours. I said I would call her back.

I started calling other gas suppliers and they told me they get all the Ferrell customers who smarten up. I had a new tank that was filled up in 12 hours and years contract $2.19 for propane with there competitor.

The new company remove the old tank and set it on the street for Ferrell to pick. Ferrell then had the nerve to charge me an additional $79.00 to pick there leaking old tank. The pervious month I paid an annual tank rental fee (Another scam) and asked for an offset.
The lady told me they always charge in arrears. I had to pay a deposit to Ferrell when I bought my home which included being charged for the tank rental fee upfront. I am just tired of there lies.

These people are so petty and try to steal as much money as they can I am so mad and was driven to file this complaint on your wonderful site. I can't wait to send them a link to see that they pissed off the wrong person. I hope others will tire of there Rip Offs.
