FFP Properties ,Owner Bob Williams Improper Business Practice Dawsonville Georgia

We hired FFP Properties owned by Bob Williams and his son Gary Williams, to remodel our home. These are some of the improper business practices they exhibited:

1. In the final bill, FFP Properies inflated the Contract dollar amount in an attempt to collect more money from us. It took many hours of persuading before they produced the detail line items. When we saw the inflated Contract amount, we confronted them. They then agreed to correct the amount. The Contract amount is $29,650 (we have the original contract), while the final bill reflects a Contract amount of $29,766.30.

2. In the beginning of the constructions, we demanded city permit for the driveway, they refused to apply. We asked about 10 times, they refused to do so and poured the driveway anyways.

3. Claimed they have to pay $400 for a dumpster but we have never seen it throughout the entire period of the construction; from early October 2008 thru mid December 2008.

4. They charged/purchased material beyond the budgeted allowance without consulting us and planned to pass the extra expense to us until we negotiated to split the difference.

5. Purchased contractor-must-have tools such as putting knives and expected us to pay for them. He insisted on us paying for these tools and told us to keep the tools. After several weeks, he told us to send the tools back to him and agreed to credit us the expense of the tools

6. Took our old windows A/C units without our consent the same day they took them off the windows. They claimed they have thrown them away. They had previously tried to swap our kitchen sink with old sink they removed from another job site, hence we don't think it is not within their characters to throw our A/C units away.

7. We contacted the company that recommended them, Service Magic. They told use FFP Properties were terminated due to complaints.

We simply want the consumers to be aware of their unethical business practice and accounting. The consumers must review all receipts and invoice from this company.
