FID International Fraudulant Shipping and Insurance Sunrise Florida

We entered into an agreement to have FID International ship our property (household items and 2 cars) from the USA to Botswana. We agreed to an All Risk marine insurance coverage through Atlas Insurance LTD and paid for it in full ($1,800). Shipment services were also paid for in full for $11,100 and our property was to be shipped by the end of the next month - a moving date of 4/29/2008. FID picked up our property and stored it in their warehouse(s) shipment arrived end of August.

As the shipment was about to reach Durban, South Africa, we learnt from the forwarding company that FID had only paid for our shipment up to Durban rather than Gaborone, Botswana as agreed. we contacted FID only for them to demand more money from us, which we paid out of desparation.

Upon arrival, our key furniture sets were missing pieces such that sets were not complete, and other small items were nowhere to be found despite having been loaded in our presence from our West Palm Beach home.

We contacted FID numerous times but in vain. on getting hold of them, a certain richard and Neidi promised to search their warehouses. Richard indicated that warehouse crew had mentioned items they did not know owners of only for Ron, our contact, to deny any of it and that Richard also could not admit having told us that.

Then eventually we tried to claim from Atlas Insurance LTD only to be told we had no policy with them. We then contacted FID and they have been ignoring and giving us the run around and still REFUSE to-date to give us the name and particulars of the insurance company they used since it was now clear the Atlas Insurance LTD insurance policy we paid for was bogus/FRAUDULANTand non-existent. Atlas was in the process of processing our claim when they discovered that a different company, Zurich Versicherung AG (Deutschland), Frankfurt had been picked to provide insurance. However, no paperwork was given to show us proof and the company seems to be non-existent as a search for it has turned futile and FID cannot provide contact information so we can pursue our claim as entiltled to. We had asked FID to please provide us with this insurance company contact information: phone, email, mailing address.

As of 29/07/2009, FID is yet to respond with contacts of the insurance company nor explain what happened to our missing property. We are stuck with property we cannot use due to missing pieces and the loss of our piceless items with tremendous sentimental value.
