I hope and pray that someone out there will learn from this posting that Fidelity Corporation of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is an absolute rip off. I am behind on my mortgage since I lost my job and my husbands company is in bankruptcy. I was contacted by John Giorgianni, senior loan modification officer at Fidelity Corporation. Mr. Giorgianni asked me a series of questions regarding my financial situation and then told me he was going to contact my mortgage lender to see if they would agree to modify my mortgage. Giorgianni called back and told me my lender would modifiy and he would be able to decrease my mortgage rate thus saving me hundreds of dollars each month. He then told me that I would be charged 749.00 x 2 payments that would need to be charged to my credit card that would act as a service fee payable to Fidelity Corp. A woman named Crystal who claimed to be the Finance Manager called me to tell me that they would rather have a check then use a credit card. I tried to call Crystal and got a cell phone number and answering machine. My suspicions grew. I asked Crystal for the company website and she told me to check with the Better Business Bureau since they have a first class rating. I did not find record of this company with the Better Business Bureau. She called back since I did not have enough money in my account to cash the 749.00 check. Lucky for me. They are a scam. I was stupid enough to provide personal information and feel so stupid. Beware of this company...they are liars and a complete ripoff.
