ON 12/20/06, MY ACCOUNT WAS OVERDRAWN. WHAT TOTALED TO BE AROUND $200 DOLLARS TURNED INTO ALMOST OVER $1100 DOLLARS IN OVERDRAFT FEES. WE RECEIVED OUR FIRST TWO LETTER ON 12/26 DATED BY THEM ON 12/21/06 AND 12/22/06 THAT STATED WE WERE CHARED $192.51 ON 12/21 AND THEN ON 12/22, WE WERE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $589.00. CALLED THE 800-972-3030 NUMBER AND A LADY BY THE LAST NAME OF WEBER TOLD US IF WE COULD MAKE IT TO THE HARRODSBURG ROAD BRANCH BY 6:00 PM, AND PAY $400 THAT THEY WOULD POST IT ON 12/26 AND NO MORE OVERDRAFT FEE'S WOULD BE CHARGED. IT IS 5:30 AND MY HUSBAND JETS OUT THE DOOR TO MAKE THE DEPOSIT, IT WAS MADE AT 5:45. WE MADE IT. THE NEXT DAY WE CHECKED OUT ACCOUNT ON LINE AND THEY DID POST IT. THEN TODAY, 12/28, WE CHECKED OUT ACCOUNT AGAIN AND THEY CHANGED THE POST DATE TO 12/27 AND CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $330.00 IN OVERDRAFT. WE CALLED THE CINCINATTI CALL CENTER AGAIN AND WE SPOKE WITH A VERY VERY RUDE PERSON BY THE NAME OF JOSEPH BROOKSBANK. WHE STATED NO MORE FEES WOULD BE REMOVED. THEN HE STARTED SCREAMING AT MY HUSBAND AND TOLD HIM THAT ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM WE CAN MANAGER OUR ACCOUNTS. MY HUSBAND REQUESTED TO SPEAK WITH HIS SUPERVISOR AND TOLD HIM HOW RUDE HE WAS. HIS REPLY "THERE IS NO ONE ABOVE HIM AND EVEN IF THERE WAS, THEY WOULD NOT SPEAK TO ME ANYWAY. I CALLED BACK AND SPOKE WITH A STEPHANIE IDHAMMOU, ID NUMBER SI IN CINCINNAT, OH CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHE REFUSED TO PROVIDE ME WITH A SUPERVISOR OVER JOSEPH BROOKSBANK AND SHE STATED EVEN IF SHE DID GIVE ME A NAME, THEY DON'T TAKE INCOMING CALLS. THEN SHE STATED THEY WERE ALL IN MEETEING BUT SHE WOULD HAVE HER SUPERVISOR CALL ME BACK. I THEN ASK HER IF SHE WAS REFUSING TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE MAIN SUPERVIORS NAME AND HER REPLY WAS "YES" NO ONE WOULD TAKE MY CALL AND NO ONE WANTED TO SPEAK TO US REGARDING ANYTHING ELSE.

WE MAY OVERDRAFT ONCE A YEAR BUT I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO RUDE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE BY ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. I DON'T KNOW HOW A BUSINESS, ESPECIALLY ONE AS LARGE AS FIFTH THIRD EMPLOYEE'S AN a*****e LIKE JOSEPH BROOKBANK.

I'm sorry to have read about your incident with Fifth Third Bank. I find it funny how they could charge the customers fees when the customer may make an error, but yet not have to pay the customer when they make an error. I am a victim of fraud with my overdraft protection credit card now and sympathize with you; HOWEVER, you can easily find phone numbers and names of the people in head of the departments simply by going to BBB.com and placing in the bank information. You will have access to a ton of information regarding this company; thus, you will be able to forward your complaint without having to go thru the middleman. Good Luck in your endeavor.
