The day after ordering two filing cabinets the status on the order was, "Pending."
I thought that I would check back the next day. Still Pending. Other places that supply tracking information will give you information such as, "Credit Card Purchase Approved," or "Back Ordered," or they just give you a shipper's tracking number. I got nothing but, "Pending" from the 19th of the month to the first of the next month.
I made three telephone calls to Customer Service. The first call informed me that it had been shipped via FedEx on the 31st of that month and that it was due to arrive on the 2nd of the next month. When asked for the tracking number the individual said that they couldn't get a tracking number until, "...they establish the route."
Now THAT's suspicious!
I asked for clarification.
"I can't get a tracking number until they establish the route by which it will be delivered," was the reply.
I checked the status on-line the next day. It still said, "Pending."
That's when I made the second call. This person, possibly the same as before, informed me that it was shipped the previous day and that it was due to arrive on the 7th.
Again I asked for the tracking number. This time he had to put me on hold so that he could call the supplier for that information. After 5 minutes on hold, I hung up and placed my third call.
This person said that my order had just gone to the supplier on the 31rst. I asked if it had shipped and, if so, what was the tracking number. Again I was put on hold so that he could call the supplier. After 1 to 2 minutes the person came back and informed me that the person at the supplier's location who handled his account was unavailable and that he would send me an email as soon as he found out the status.
At this point I'm pretty much up to here with it. I told him that I had grown very suspicious and that I wanted to cancel my order.
"Well, we will have to put the cancellation notice into the supplier and hope that they haven't already shipped the order."
Tomorrow I will check the status of my order and I'm betting that it will still be pending.
Next call? To the credit card company. I've already downloaded and printed the State AG's complaint forms.
