Received letter and check of $2996.72 from Financing Services, 2211 Woodhampton Rise, Victoria BC. Tel: 1-514-806-9465. Signed by John Scofield.
Called Mr. Scofield on Thur 2/7/08 and was told to go to bank and cash check (before 1:00 PM.
Called Mr. Scofield back at 1:26 PM had cashed checked. Was told that this would cover all Legal fees, taxes and etc. Go to Walmart or K marts and send Money Gram in the mount of $28,000. Send to Mr. Robert Dickson (Head of Accounting) to 7485 E. Center Blvd, Ottawa Canada,J7K2B3. Check would cover this and all fees. Do before 3:00 Pm and call him back. Check for $50,000 will be Fed Ex same day by 7:00 PM.
Called Mr. Scofield at 3:10 Pm. Gave him referrence number on money gram. Sid give him one to one and half hours and he would call me back with routing number. No phone call received from Mr. Scofield.
Friday 2/8/07 - called number on letter several times and kept getting voice miail. At 2:50 PM called and male ansered phone with greeting International Lottery Commission. When asked for John he hung up. Immediately called back and got voice mail again.

I can't believe that there are still people in this country falling for this scam, as it has been posted on bulletin boards, newspaper stories and ads, told all over tv and radio.....I guess some people live with their heads buried. Anyway, just in case you haven't already figured it out, that check is going to bounce. And you are going to be in BIG trouble. Your bank is going to want their money back. And there's a good chance that you will be charged with bank fraud as well. A man in our neighborhood just spent 6 months in prison for cashing one of those checks. Wise up ! Money doesn't just fall in your lap. You have to earn it.
