I was contacted yesterday by a woman calling on behalf of our local volunteer fire department about a promotion they were running for local businesses to be featured on dry erase boards to be handed out by the fire department during civic functions.  These boards would have the phone numbers for local emergency services and would feature 4-5 local businesses that the fire department endorses.  I declined multiple times citing budget constraints, but they eventually wore me down. It's for the fire department after all!

I was googling our local volunteer fire department and advertising while I was on the phone with her, but because I didn't have the name Firehouse Promotions until after the sale was made I didn't get any hits.  Once I googled Firehouse Productions and saw all the complaints it was too late for me, but maybe I can save someone else from making the same mistake. The fire department chief did finally track down someone who remembers receiving some of these boards, but made it clear they did not request them and did not receive any proceeds.  Buyer beware and avoid my $500 mistake!

How do you sleep at night knowing that you are as big a scam as Firehouse Promotions?  How dare you accuse others of lying when so many have been blatantly ripped off by this scam.  I was taken for $700 on 2/29/16 and I've made countless attempts to get honest answers, but instead, all I have is more lies.

1.  Real Estate managers - please do NOT reccommend this worthless scam to your employees:

Appararently Greendale Fire Department has signed on to a program that sends out FIRE SAFETY boards (they are magnetic boards (also have hooks on them) with fire safety tips, emergency numbers, poisin control.  They are paid for of course by "sponsors" or advertisers.  ti is a 3 year program.   There are 25000 available for distribution.  the advertiser is given 250 right up front and once you are out of them you can pick up more at the fire department.  You are not limited to the number you can use.  The cost if $500 for a space that is 1/2" larger than a standard business card.  I thought since you live in Greendale and market the area that you should be the first agent this opporunity is offered to.

If you are interested - call Joyell - Fire Saftey Magnets.  1-309-277-0893.  There will be ONLY ONE Realtor on the boards.

Also let me know if you are interested or not -because if you are not I will open it up to the office.

Patti

5.  On 4/20 I spoke with Brittney Hayes.  She could not answer any of my inquiries about where the sample boards were or why the fire chief & captain have never received any products or have ever dealt with this agency.  I spoke with several managers who kept lying to me, questioning whether or not I had the correct names of the fire department -- meanwhile I had them on another line disputing all Firehouse Promotions claims.  The manager claimed she'd get a tracking number for me and follow up with me later that day.  When I called several times over the course of the week,  I was never able to get any supervisors on the phone again.

I'll gladly testify again these people in any attempt to prevent them from taking money from others.

You scammed a town in Wisconsin out of thousands of dollars. You know which one I am talking about. There is a pending lawsuit against you for selling ads fraudulently by telling businesses that you have a contract with the Fire Department which in fact you DONT!!! Your so called eraseable boards are a joke a they look like  a 3 year old made them. I would be embarrassed to put such crap out there telling these businesses it is done by a professional!!! Bullcrap!!! You need to come clean and make it right to these small businesses who cannot afford such an expense. Do the right thing and give them their money back!!!

Check Out BBB Report

AUTHOR: John - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 22, 2016

Go to the Better Business Bureau website and check them out.  43 complaints in the last 3 years, F rating and there is an alert for this business.  The place that I work was contacted by them.  When I found the BBB rating, I reported this to one of the local tv stations.  A reported has already started an investigation and the hospital that they claimed to be working for has never heard of them.  I read most of the BBB complaints and almost all of them have the same complaint.

Firehouse Promotions is NOT a Rip Off!

AUTHOR: anonymous - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, June 18, 2013

I just read a few of these ludacris posts on here and I found them absolutely untruthful and ridiculous!

I have worked for Firehouse Promotions in their regional office out of Moline, IL for quite a while now and nothing they do is illegal, immoral, untruthful or dishonest.

What we do here is we cold call area businesses that your local fire department has contracted us to do the leg work for, and we place your businesses on the front of these boards promoting fire safety in homes and businesses, the goal of these boards is to save lives. Your business ad goes on our 8 1/2"x 11" laminated, dry erase boards that are in full bold color with fire safety tips, the stop drop and roll instructions and a grid area on the back with the goal that families will discuss these important life saving instructions with children in the home or if these are used in businesses, that employers will discuss these important instructions and escape routes with their employees and or families.

These boards are professionally designed by our graphics department and we have a signed guaranteed distribution contract with all of the fire departments across the nation we do business with and you can easily ask the representative that calls your business for the contact we have with the fire department, and our manager is always on site with us and you can always ask the representative to speak with them for any concerns you may have.

We have several different ad sizes and prices which you can easily look at on our website: firehousepromotionsinc.com, you can also see samples of our products there for a visual.

Nothing about this company is a scam, absolutely nothing. Of course with any business your going to get some upset past employees that falsely place unwarranted comments about a business, look at your own complaints regarding your businesses, I am sure you have some as well, are those true? Unfortunately, there are legit businesses such as Firehouse Promotions that get a bad rap because someone got upset whether it be a fired employee, or just someone having a bad day.

When our representatives call you, we are very descriptive and honest with every aspect of this program and what you will get for the ad space you choose for your Fire Safety board. You will receive these boards for your business, they are also distributed at Grade Schools, Highschools, Fire Safety Awareness Campaigns and Programs, Open Houses, Fairs, Festivals, Parades, Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, Breakfasts, Dinners, Fund Raisers, Community Events, Code Inspections, these are widely distributed and we print out thousands of these boards, you only make a one time 100% tax deductable payment

so at the end of the year you will get your money back as if you never had to pay anything, so that person that stated she got ripped off for $500 was totally lying, she would have received all of her money back at the end of the year all she had to do was write it off as a tax donation because it is promoting fire safety awareness. Not only that, when you purchase an ad, your on these boards for 3 to 5 years and we print out thousands of these boards, and everytime the fire department needs more they have more printed out and your business will be circulated on every single one of these boards for the full rotation of this program, you will also receive these boards to use in your own place of business and if you need more, you can go down to the fire department where they have boxes of these and ask for more and they will give them to you right there.

In closing, before you think your getting scammed, do a little research into what the real truth is, and if you think about it, if this was a scam how would we still be in business, and why would fire departments all aross the United States still be contacting us to help them do the leg work putting together all of these boards for their fire safety programs. This is NOT a scam, this is legit and it you have any more questions just give us a call at our regional office in Moline, IL at: 309-277-0893 and just ask to speak to the manager who will answer any questions left unanswered. Thanks.
