Fireside Dodge I was lied to regarding financing and the Costco Auto Buying Program. I was told they were credit union affiliated when they are not. Modesto California

I went to Fireside Dodge to purchase a new truck. My first question was are you credit union affiliated? Yes, yes I was repeatedly told. I said I want to buy with the Costco Auto Buying Program and finance with the Golden 1.

I was told that is the way it would be. My first payment was to be due on 02/14/2008. As this date approached I had not received anything in writing concerning my payments.

I contacted Fireside Dodge to be told I would be called back regarding my problem. No one called. I contacted Golden 1 to arrange for automatic payments from my checking account. No one had ever contacted Golden 1 about any auto loan.

I called dealership again with this information only to be told I would be called back. I was not. I called again the next day. Finally someone left a message on my phone that Golden 1 would not give me a decent interest rate so they were financing me with Bank of America. I had a letter from Golden 1 approving a loan for 39000.00 at 5.69%. Finally I get notice from B of A that my loan is in default and the interest is 7.49%. How is this better than 5.69 from Golden 1. Still no answer from anyone at Fireside Dodge.
