After being a great customer with Tribute for over three years, they close their credit card dept, if that wasn't bad enough, they send me a bill, stating my last months payment was late, I sent them the check a week ahead of the due date and i live in the next state over, Keep in mind i have never been late. Then on top of that they are trying to get me to pay the late fee of 35.00 and monthly maint fee and finance charge and that makes my account over the limit, so now they are tacking that on, when they owe me a prorated annual fee back because they closed my account.  They are also trying to charge me more % rate on monthly minimum payment then before, well i told them, I wasn't late and i have the check to prove my payment, They told me pay those fees to make your card current and we will waive one of the fees, Do they really think i trust them now? Hell no, I wrote them and told them i'm not paying the late fee because it wasn't late and told them i would pay the 2 to 4% what they had been charging me on my min payment from now on, until i pay it off.  When you call them they are in india, how do they know what the processing center did in Missouri, i think they held the payment up on purpose to get more money, you know those rich business men they will try anything to squeeze another dime from the consumer,  It already hurt my credit that they closed my account, so if your worried about that guys don't, anytime you close an account even you, or the company closes it, it does hurt your fico score, so at this point what do i have to loose.  The terms and conditions that i read did not have anything in it on (when our company closes it doors) I feel they have violated the terms and agreement in their own contract with the consumer and that, that contract should be null and void.  I wonder what Judge Judy would say and suzy orman which both are extremely intelligent women and i value their opinions. I feel you should pay what you owe on your bill but no more, if your not late and they are pulling this tactic, which is illegal someone should call them on it. I use to tell my friends this was a good card to get, Not anymore, I will never recommend them at all.
