First Capital ripoff, fraudulently charged money from my account, misrepresented themselves, LIED!!! STOLE from me!!! ripoff consumer fraud rip-off deceptive company ripoffs all on phone California

I had a call from a woman who identified herself as a representative of First Capital, and she wanted to offer my two credit cards with a $1,000 limit on each. I would also be given a free phone with 30 days paid for signing up for their credit cards. The interest rate was to be only 8% for the life of the card. Of course this sounded too good to be true. Then she told me that there would be a one-time charge of $199 to cover the costs of something having to do with the cards.
She was so convincing! She told me that it was such a great deal that she had a pair herself!

They did take the money out on July 17, 2002, as promised. My account reads: 7/17/02 Direct Debit/1st Capital Cons Telephone EGL3. I was eagerly awaiting my cards and phone, but she said that it would be here within 7-10 business days. Well, it is August 4, 2002 and I still have not seen either in my mail. I began looking on the internet and to my surprise, here you were! I wasn't alone. Many others got that same phone call and trusted that the person on the other side was being honest with them.

I feel stupid, taken advantage of and rather rediculous. I truly hope that something can be done about these people. Thank you for being here for me. It is a very good outlet.
