First Choice Emergency Rooms deceptive advertising and office practices- lies to their patients dallas Texas

I was an employee for First Choice ER for approximately 8 months in 2013/14 I believe. One of the things we were taught in our limited orientation was that this was a full service / one bill ER. Many times we were instructed to tell patients that there will be only one all inclusive bill which included use of the facility, nursing care, physician services, lab test, radiology services.

Well I went there as a patient in May of 2014, and was told I had a $200.00 deductible which I think I paid at the time of service and thought from there I was paid and had nothing more to worry about.

Much to my surprise several months later I received bills from both First Choice ER which states it includes the services of DR. Roger Leaton, MD for $200.00.

In addition I received a bill from National Medical Professional for $87.30 stating it was a bill for the services provided by Dr. Roger Leaton, MD.

I have been making b-weekly payments which are not all being credited to my account.

This is totally misleading advertising practices on the part of First Choice ER.

Many, many times while I worked there we told patients that they would receive only one bill for the services they received, that that was the advantage of using this free standing ER as there were no confusing bills coming from multiple different providers like are sent if you utilize a standard hospital based ER.
