First Choice ER is a billing ripoff with excessive fee's that insurance will not pay($1200 facility fee) Lewisville Texas

Do not use First Choice ER.  They are a ripoff in billing.  It was a Sunday evening when everything was closed and it was the only thing left open.  I had a sever sore throat and suspected strep.  I went in the facitlity and while the staff was friendly I was told that a strep test was only $140 which is fine since insurance would have covered it.  When I got the bill 2 months later there was a $1200 facility charge.  I was in the faciltiy for 30 minutes for a single strep test.  

Insurance paid the strep test and $400 toward the facilty fee then I got a bill for over $800.  Not only that I was turned over to collections when I had only recieved a single bill in December then collections letter in January. No one seems to be able to fix this.  I will not pay it no matter what.  This is not the first time I have heard ungodly reports of this overbilling by them either.
