This particular company has recently been calling me at work.

Due to a office move, the person that sitting at my old desk with my old number gave this information to the company with my new desk number
so they are calling me now.

But the voice on the phone is a computerized voice stating if this not (your name)please press the 2 key now so I press 2 key each time.

I have no idea what this is regarding, but it's illegal to call people at work, and my home # is unlisted.

They call everyday, so I pick up the phone, and hang up the phone.

Debt Collectors have no "rights" to call anyone.

As soon as you let them know you cannot take calls at work, they must stop.

And, if they in anyway indicate they are calling about a debt or even that they are debt collectors when they call any third party, they have violated the law.

And, MOST third party debt collectors will not sue. That is why they are calling.
Think about it!

If they had a case, they would just file the lawsuit, but they know in most cases that they could never win in court.

I might be wrong, but
If they are unable to reach you at home, and the only contact they have is your work, I believe they can call you at work until they get your home number. They can also call neighbors and relatives to get a message to you.

If you do not want to be contacted at all, send them a cease contact letter certified, and they will not be able to contact you again. Though that could lead to a lawsuit.
