First national Credit Inc is a deceptive ripoff company. Aliso Viejo, California

My husband and I recieved an acceptance certificate for a 100% guaranteed Visa Gold credit card from First National Credit, Inc on May 2, 2002. It had a guaranteed credit line of $15,000.00 and the certificate staed that it could be used anywhere. The only thing that we were asked to do was to send in our processing fee of $36.00 or $43.00 for rush delivery of the card. We sent the $43.00 processing fee out on the 10th of May. For some unknown reason I decided the same day to get onto the internet to check into this company (wish I would have done this first). To my surprise the web site stated that they were no longer accepting credit applications at that time. i found that to be odd so I looked further. Then I saw the rip off web site and checked it out. There were several complaints from consumers all over the world stating that they got the card and later found out that it was not able to be used at any store and that it had to be used to order out of a magazine provided by the company. Nowhere in the approval letter that I recieve did it state any of that!! I was greatly appauled by what I had just read!! These people are crooks and falsely advertising as far as I was concerned. Once you place an oreder with this company you first have to send them 25% of the cost of the perchase!! What a joke right? I went to another web site called www.attorneygenerals.com. Here they list the phone numbers and fax numbers for the attorney general in every single state. I called and spoke with him. They sent me out a free complaint package to send back and they investigate the case at no cost to you at all. I figured if it helped me get my money back it was worth it!! I only have these words of advise for anyone reading this...IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE...99.999% OF THE TIME IT IS!! Don't let this company steal from you. Tear it up and throw it away.
