I am a physician who is building a new office and would suggest being very wary of First USA Capital and Keith Coleman. I was referred to First USA Capital by another broker and spoke with Keith Coleman on the phone for about 20-30minutes.  Keith gave me his bio and sales pitch and broke down there base fees stating that they would normally charge $15,000 for
trying to find a loan of a certain amount.  He felt very confident that he could secure me a loan but was very careful in making sure that I understood that the upfront fee was non refundable whether I was approved or not.  I talked to Keith about my concerns of them getting an upfront cost no matter the results.  Keith agreed to take the price down to $5000
and send me over their contract.  I was very concerned with this arrangement and did some checking online.  On the Better Business Bureau web site I noted that Keith Coleman is the only one listed in the company and the start date for their file is only 6 months ago in Dec 2011.  After looking over their paperwork I found that they take up to another 2% at closing in fees.  With this large fee structure, the fact that the business had such a short track record and a report here on RipOff, I was
too leery to proceed with giving them up front cash.  I sent Keith back an email thanking him for his time and letting him know that my business could still be theirs but their fee would have to be a more traditional 1% paid at closing.   In response to this Keith wrote that I "insulted" him and was "dishonest."  We also said that I, "wasted his valuable time and resources."   Finally he went on the say that he would notify the underwriter and not allow my project to be presented to any third party for a period of two years.  There were several other diatribes in the email which seem unusually angry for a person that I had only spend about 30 minutes on the phone.  This seemed especially out of place considering that was trying to polity offer a scenario that would be agreeable to him and my business.  At best I would consider this response unprofessional and rude but it seems to me also quite vindictive.   Maybe I caught him on a bad day but if this is indicative of how he treats his clients I am very happy that I avoided signing any agreements and working with First USA Capital and Keith Coleman.
