I contracted with firstediting.com and was impressed with the numerous emails and phone calls about my manuscript. After I paid up front I never heard from them again. I have left numerous emails and phone calls but nothing. It seems a little weird to have someone editing your manuscript and they NEVER contact you about it. I have some changes but no way of communicating them to the editor. I also have a publisher waiting for it and the original contract said 10-14 days... well it's been 13 so I guess I have one more day but I'm not holding my breath. Three questions I have for them.. What does the "Satisfaction guaranteed" mean on their website. When can I expect to see my manuscript. and finally why doesn't the editor communicate with their client!

After my complaint was posted here I was assured by firstEditing that my manuscript was getting the final touches and would be sent shortly. Well, it didn't come. More promises and no delivery. Now they are non compliant and I will seek return of my money. They still will not let me contact the editor so I have no idea what is going on. All correspondence with the editor is through a third party. As a gift they said I could have a short addition edited, but what i want is my original work edited. I am soooo frustrated. I would not recommend FirstEditing to anyone.
