On May 15, 2009 I called Fisher to report 2 cracks in the bottom of my boat.  They told me to take it back to the dealer.  I told them I could not because the dealer had gone out of business.  They told me to take it to Ohio Marina located at 11630 St. Rte. 235 in Lakeview, Ohio 43331 (937-846-6695) and I took it there on May 16th.  They said I had to leave it there to have pictures taken of the boat and cracks to send to Fisher which was done and sent to Fisher the following week.  In June I called Fisher and they said that they needed more pictures which Ohio Marina had already sent to Fisher so they had to send more pictures.  In the beginning of July Fisher said they needed a third set of pictures and the boat would be taken to the marina in Celina, Ohio (205 Harbor Point Drive, Celina, Ohio 45822 = 419-586-3185) to be picked up and taken to the manufacturer in Springfield, Missouri.  It was 210 miles round trip to the marina in Lakeview, Ohio.  I called Fisher again approximately the 2nd week in July and was informed I had to go to the Celina Marina to sign a release form because they were getting the boat in a day or two.  However it was over a month before I was told anything about this form and I had to call them to find out about it.  Nothing was ever said about this form in any of our previous conversations.  It was another 274 mile round trip just to sign this form.  When I called a couple of weeks later on a Friday they said the would pick it up the following Tuesday.  I therefore called them the following Wednesday to see if they boat had been picked up and if it was at the Springfield location yet.  I was informed they would call the driver and call me back within the hour however they did not call back. So I called the Marina in Celina that following Friday and they said it had just been picked up on Thursday.

I called Fisher and was informed the boat repairs would be completed on August 9th but that it would take 2 to 6 weeks to get the boat back to the Celina Marina where it was picked up from.  I called the 12th of August and told them I would pick the boat up myself at the Springfield location and bring it back myself.  It had already been over 3 months and I didn't  want to wait another month to get my boat back.

I drove to Springfield Missouri on August 10th and stopped at the 2500 E. Kearney address to make sure this is where I could pick up my boat the next morning.  The next morning I arrived to  pick up my boat and was informed that I was 70 miles west of the location  where I was to pick up my boat.  This was 140 miles out of my way.  I signed in to get my boat and hooked my boat and lights to the truck and went to put the sticker on the plates and there were no license plates on my trailer.  I asked them where they my plate was at and they said they didn't take them off there and they were probably at the marina in Celina.  I requested a temporary tag in order to get my boat though 3 states and they said they did not do temporary tags but he could give me a paper stating boat had been in for repairs and that I could take my chances driving it back.  The license plate on my trailer had a metal bracket with a lock and they took the whole bracket off but for some reason they put a cheap plastic bracket back on the trailer.

After driving 1356 miles to pick up my boat I was not going to drive it back to Ohio with no plate and risk paying a fine in any or all of the three states I would have to drive through to get back.

He said he would get it back here as soon as possible and I reminded him it only took them 3 months to get it there.
