Personal Trainers FITNESS EXPERIENCE IS A SCAM! dont do it! The job listing for fitness experience is a scam, save your time. and use common sense. what place is gonna pay 4-6k for someone with no experience.

The catch is, they want you to pay a small start up fee of $600! Yes, you have to pay to work there and they wont get you any clients.

personal trainer PERSONAL TRAINER PERSONAL TRAINERS personal trainers

My friend went in with no experience and they said he was "perfect for the job", then i went with a ton of experience, and i was "perfect too!" They dont require you to carry insurance, and will hire basically anyone that will pay. what non sense.

By the way, their crack research team of nerds who never trained a day in their life are good at combing craigslist to delete this ad everytime i post it, so repost if you can! Dont worry fitness experience, next time you delete i will post it on every forum i can! ;-) just a small start up fee.... yeah, right.

Actually that's not correct "Owner."

Your Better Business Bureau rating is "F" with 7 complaints since May of 2008, when your business was started. In the above post, you said your rating was "Perfect."

Just in case you weren't aware, "F" is the lowest, and "A" is the highest.

Hello to all who read these reports. My name is Brian Funston and i am the owner of Fitness Experience. Our website is fitnessexperienceclubs.com which contains my e-mail as well as phone number. I apologize for the comments from various small minded responses in this forum. not a single individual has ever spoke to me as an adult and all of the information posted negatively is inaccurate as can be attested by law and a small amount of intelligence from the training staff. a degree from a 4 year college is not really arguable, right? the owners background. memberships range from month to month to term. to what we supply in supplements Several brands.(by the way apex is nationally recognized as a trainer certification and 24 hour, pure fitness etc use these supplements solely, why?) my ranking with all report agencies including BBB is being updated from may 7th 2008 forward and is perfect. and value of equipment new and used. any halfwit can do a basic search and know the truth. also if all these individuals know so much what are the the Ralph Naders of Fitness Experience. no they scurry in the dark and attack in weak terms instead of walking in the light of day and speaking as an adult man or woman. by the way i actually HATE to respond like this and apologize for the forum. we are a great club and doing quite well. please come and visit. try us for 30 days free and make up your own mind. yours in health Brian

-This company has the worst possible rating by the BBB.
-They're on every fitness club complaint site out there.
-The owner was an executive at Pure Fitness but was demoted to a club manager.
-The fitness director was the director at a Pure Fitness branch, but was demoted to hourly personal trainer.
-No, the employees/trainers do not have degrees, and their certifications for the most part aren't recognized by anyone in the industry.
-They peddle supplements for a company, who in return gives them the BS "Apex" certification.
-They try to convince you if you don't take their multivitamin you won't get results. They also claim other multivitamins you buy in stores don't even have the ingredients in them that they claim. They refer to them as "Marketing Companies."
-150k in equipment... 10 years ago.
-Other interested buyers who came through the club were offered the equipment for free if they took over the least. This is because that owner hadn't paid the previous one for the equipment either.
-They try to get you to buy a 3-year prepaid membership... and the odds are heavily in favor of this place going out of business in the next year.
-But they do have child care... where the employee's kids run around.

I personally went in after a friend of mine told me to let them take me through a tour and sales pitch for fun. According to the girl I spoke with, I had to get a 3-year membership, personal training 3x a week, and about $100 a month in supplements... to lose the 10 pounds of extra weight I have. After thinking about it, I decided that my friend was right, it was an entertaining hour of comedy.

#4 REBUTTAL Owner of company

who is fitcore ex employee

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 30, 2008

again i am so sorry that individuals that do not have much of a clue use this as a forum.
first and foremost yes both owner and fitness director were executives at pure fitness the owner also had worked three other companies with the owner of pure fitness and was in a leadership position. the move to fitness experience was one of choice and as far as someone giving away 150k worth of equipment to avoid a lease? please only the imbecile who wrote this can believe this. again the trainers all have degrees come and see for yourself. and the ballys comment is funny as they have closed. i only wish that these so called trainers had the ability as a man or a woman to walk into the club and face me as a man, but alas cowards normally do not. please come check us out for yourself and find that we are who we say we are and look forward to seeing you soon.

incorrect information

First and foremost i am the owner of Fitness Experience and i have no idea who Gabriel is, Second if you are without proof of certification and/or a degree do not even apply. also we do not want any money from our trainers. how dumb is that, who would pay. I purchased the club in may of 2008 maybe the disgruntled person worked for the owner who went out of business. anyway great place come and check us out, we do not allow independent trainers.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

The Owner is BSing You...

AUTHOR: Fitcore - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, November 23, 2008

Here's the deal with Fitness Experience:

1) Their owner and fitness director are former Pure Fitness employees who both got demoted this year, causing them to look for other career options. The former owner of Fitness Experience was going into bankruptcy and gave the new owner the club for free just so he wasn't responsible for paying the lease anymore.

2) Yes, Gabriel is telling the truth about the Fitness Experience trainers. They have very marginal experience levels (some have no prior training experience), and their required "Certification" from Apex Fitness is only a requirement because they are an Apex supplement distributor. Bigger clubs require nationally recognized certifications.

3) Their pricing is variable and open to negotiation. Their training is listed at $80/hr, but they will go all the way down to $55/hr consistently to get your business/money. Their memberships are also boosted and you can get that down to $22-24 a month.

4) They don't have a full range of equipment, and the equipment they do have is 5 years outdated at the minimum.

If your looking for the "Kia" verson of a fitness club, an economical way to do some basic fitness, that's what your getting. But other clubs who offer comparable pricing (Pure Fitness, 24 hour fitness, Bally's) are all substancial upgrades. Some of them having swimming pools, basketball courts, steam room, etc. You won't get that at Fitness Experience.

Think of it as your neighborhood bar that still only has basic cable on their two TVs.

False Information

POSTED: Wednesday, July 23, 2008

I am positive to all people who have read the report from Gabriel that this sounds like Fitness Experience is a scam. WRONG WRONG WRONG. For all the fact is simple the company she referenced to did in fact do this but they went out of business some time ago. I am the new owner and i have trademarked the name in may of 2008 before this time it was not even owned. I apologize to those who have experienced anything negative with the previous company. I am a 25 year fitness veteran and we do not charge a dime and need qualified trainers to respond. Feel free to call me (((ROR redacted)))
