Fix It 4 Less Appliance Repair Scott Rohter, owner Abusive, rude and inappropriate discussion which he initiated, evasive regarding lateness with parts arriving or ordering, demanding Eugene/Springfield, Oregon

I had a very similar experience with Scott Rohter of Fix It 4 Less as reported by Lewis in 2008. I urge caution against using Fix it 4 Less Appliance Repair. I am 60 years old and have never been treated so rudely and abusively by anyone with whom I have had a business relationship. I've lived at this residence for some 20 years.

On December 17, 2012 I contacted Scott Rohter, Fix It 4 Less to repair two appliances. He gave me a ball park figure of cash to have on hand to cover his time and the ordering of parts, if needed, which I had when he arrived. He arrived much later than promised. He looked at the washing machine and determined which parts needed to be ordered. After completing his work he launched into an uninvited lecture regarding his political views in a belligerent way apparently after seeing signage on my car. He brought up the subject, I didn't.

He said it was unlikely that the parts would arrive before Christmas, which I understood, but said they shouldn't take long. I waited weeks!  I finally called him on January 11.  He mumbled something about an emergency but didn't tell me then or call back later to even tell me if the parts had been ordered or arrived. Then he calls me at 11:03 this Sunday morning (Jan. 27, 2013) and says he wants to come over and put the parts on, saying he will be here within two hours. Some three hours later he arrives and immediately launched into another lecture specifying the "terms" under which he would agree to finish the work. Those terms were that I do not discuss the issue that he, himself had brought up the first time!  When I reminded him of that he just got more abrasive.

The issue is that he was rude, belligerent, and late and when I asked him for an apology he refuses and just storms off.

I'm happy about this because I lost confidence and trust in his ability by that time.  What an ordeal!
