Fleetwood Homes of Portland crooked dealings consumer fraud ripoff Portland Oregon

My (then) 93 year old mother bought a new home from Fleetwood almost two years ago.

Apparently, under the guise of "making copies" they took the paperwork out of the office--and then changed it! We have proof of this because they were so crooked and greedy that they changed their own paperwork later--so their's and our papers don't match!

This mis-match is the only real legal proof that my mother was cheated. And Fleetwood and the BBB (that has done nothing about any of our many complaints) is doing everything they can do to get a copy of our papers--so they can make a copy and then throw theirs away. I have even offered to show Fleetwood reps our copy--but they didn't want to see it--they just want to take it away to "make a copy."

Fleetwood did not honor their warranty in a timely manner--examples: Fireplace (gas) was not fixed for 4 months. In the meantime, the furnace stopped working correctly and for 2 days, my then 94 year old mother had no heat in her new home. It took 6 cold winter weeks before they got around to fixing the furnace--which was requiring an extra $30 a week to run in auxilaary mode. Of course, Fleetwood offered to reimburse us--but like ALL their verbal promises, they did not!

The house was delivered without permanent steps outside the doors and without any access to the sliding patio door. This is against Milwaukie building codes so Fleetwood said they would go in "halfs" with us ($500.00) but never did. The house was also delivered 2 and 1/2 months late--and actually was completed in Washington long before it was delivered.

The house was delivered without the ceiling fan as in the model home (all features in the model home were supposed to be automatically included. Plus my mother asked and paid extra for a gas furnace and hot water heater--all of which she did not receive!

I have turned the BBB into the Oregon Attorney General--their advertising and non-response to my complaints is a real fraud! And their cooperation with Fleetwood to get a hold of my legal proof of crooked dealings is VERY suspicious!
