Fleming's Ultimate Garage BEWARE!!! MISREPRESENTING cars and DECEIVING buyers is how Flemings operates Rockville, Maryland

My boyfriend is in the Nat'l Corvette Restorers Society and has been collecting restored mid-year Corvettes for more than 20 years. He has been looking for a nice 1967 with the 427 cubic inch engine and found one on Fleming's website back in December. On their website, the car was advertised as a "Corvette 427" model and there are photos and even a promotional video that shows closeups of the 427 hood. When the hood is opened, the camera zooms in several times to focus on the air cleaner on top of the engine that indicates that the engine is 427 cubic inches and puts out 390 horsepower. Very impressive, right? WRONG!!!

After we take off a half-day of work and drive 2 hours to see the car in person, my boyfriend discovered that the engine code stamping reveals the engine to be a lower horsepower and much less desirable 396 cubic inches from a Chevy station wagon or pickup that has no business being in a Corvette!!! Not only that, the car does not have "optional power steering" as advertised. It is not "matching numbers" as advertised. It does not have an "8K tach" as advertised. It does not have "redline radials" as advertised. Neither the Flemings owner nor GM were on the premises that day, so my boyfriend sent a complaint letter to the company which was ignored because those lies about this car continue to this day on their website. SHAME ON YOU, FLEMINGS!! The only conclusion that can be drawn is that your misrepresentation is intentional.
