I had one of there sales guys come to my house to bid out wood flooring. I told and showed him what I wanted he took my money that evening. When the installers came out to my house they were 4 hours late then claimed they were not told how I wanted it installed. I contacted sales person and he said to talk to manager. I talked to manager who never followed up with me. contacted sales person again who stated I never told him what I wanted and then hung up on me. He came to my home..lied to me and took our money..now we are stuck with a bad install job that I was very very specific on and will have to hire a professional company to finish. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING THEY LIE AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF HAVING xxxxxxxx OR xxxxxx PRICE MATCH AND DEAL WITH A REAL COMPANY

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds
RIGHT INFORMATION

As I noted in the last post, this company has recently changed ownership. I was a store manager for the parent company, which has been sold off to several buyers. On 07-14-2008, The Better Business Bureau revoked Floor Expo's accredidation for failure to respond to one or more customer complaints. To verify this, you can access the Better Business Bureau's 24 hour line by dialing 214-220-2000 and following the prompts to where you can enter this company's phone number and access the report.
In my opinion, this company is the bottom of the barrell in our industry. I hope the new ownership comes to understand that the way to a decent reputation is hiring competent salespeople and installers, and addressing problems in a timely manner

I am a former store manager for this company. They've recently changed ownership. Their reputation has been to hire anyone willing to take the job, with emphasis on getting the sale at all costs. They blow through salespeople and installers by jacking with their money.
Having read the salesperson's response, does his command of the English language give you confidence that he really knows his product?

I am the salesman that the consumer accusing of lying.
He came to the showroom asking for his game room to be done with hardwood and mentioned he was going to another company to check their price but clearly he liked my price and decide to go with me and we set an appointment that evening; before he left he told me there is two steps up to the room also needs to be done with wood.
so i told him there is $100/step and he agreed on that.
I went to his home that evening measured everything and closed the deal and he told me he wants the bottom step upstairs to match the first step down stairs, but he NEVER
mentioned that he wanted me to customize that step like the the builders do.
because flooring stores can not customize that step like builders do.
As all of you know if you look at the first step of your staircase it comes like that when they build the house ( the step that comes with two half circles on the side of the step ), i did a research after this happen to me with this customer the only people can do this kind of work is stairs specialist and it cost a lot of money.
the wood that the customer purchased through the company doesn't come with any stair nose that could be done the way the customer didn't clarify to me in the sale day.
anyway, the customer contacted me I explained to him that what he wanted now could not be done and if he would of told me so i would explain to him that could not be done and he needs to contact a builder or custom steps specialist.
my manager went to the customer house in Frisco and explained to him that have been miscommunication between him and me and my manager offer him resolution and he agreed and he took his $100 back, actually it was refunded to his account and he was happy.
he accusing me of hanging the phone up on him; that never happened, because we finished the talk on the phone and he called me back told me that i hanged up on him and i apologized to him even though i didn't hang up on him we just finished the conversation and i told him have a good day.
iam not saying there was no miscommunication between me and this customer , but everything was handled very professionally and we offer him to resolve the issue and he agreed to take it. so really he has no right to accuse me of lying and unprofessionalism.
by the way his complain was on july 2nd, and we already resolve the issue with him on june of 2008.
please if anyone needs to hear any details and want me to show them how unreasonable this customer was i would love to show you that he is trying rip the company off.
