Florida Career College Anthem Education The Nursing program is NOT accredited, the program is misrepresented and they've shattered dreams of many! Boynton beach Florida

When I signed up to attend Florida Career College for Nursing my first question was this an accredited program and the response I received was YES! I let them know I read poor reviews and noticed they have a bad reputation. A reputation is just that. However, I figured if they're an ACCREDITED School AND Nursing Program then who cares about the reputation. I will sit for my boards (NCLEX) and become a nurse in 18 months! Perfect. 

Well, here I am 4 weeks into the program, nights away from home, studying my butt off and revolving my entire life around school, work and making time for family! doing well in all my classes and feeling such a sense of accomplishment and proud of my hard work and dedication to my future.

As it turns out, I'm sitting in class and hear a student udder something that would send my world crashing down! This school is accredited, but the Nursing program is APPROVED NOT ACCREDITED! With disbelief and fury in my eyes I said "what do you mean? That is the first thing I asked." What that means is if you graduate from FCC Nursing and sit for boards no school will take your classes/credits if you decide to go for your BSN or MSN. Furthermore, no reputable hospital will hire someone with an approved (substandard) degree over someone with accreditation!

I thank God I was only a month in, but it's still dishearting and disappointing. It amazes me the extent people will go to make money with no regard as to the person or family they're effecting! Had I not known before Febuary 6th I would have also been out $9863 dollars For the semester! I feel truly sorry for any and all students that did not know and those whom still don't. They should know upfront! The director of Nursing said she was going to let everyone know at week 6 (after payout). I hope that's the case!

South University, Keizer and Public Schools such as State Colleges are all ACCREDITED and a better choice in my opinion!
