I moved here a little over a year ago from just across the state line with two friends.. One of the friends explain to myself and the other that Florida Community Bank was the closest bank to our new house, and maybe we should go check it out.

it seemed fairly easy to open an account there and it was within walking distance from where we stayed, plus we would all be using the same bank... So we got our accounts with Florida Community Bank.

Some normal tissues were expected, and received, such as the second day I opened my account I attempted to cash a $400 check at the bank.. Naturally with no funds and being a new account, I had to wait for it to clear. within the first month I was having some direct deposit problems, so I went back to cash another paycheck because it did not go into my account directly, and they did the same thing again.. Which I didn't consider to be a big deal but I use my account often and it certainly didn't feel like I was any type of new client there to where I would have to wait to cash my check. The next it's you that arose, happened shortly after I received a United States Treasury check. As we all know, you can walk into any bank or check cashing establishment and cash a United States Treasury check.. Unless, your bank is for the community bank.. That is correct, Florida Community Bank is the only bank in the land that will not cash your United States Treasury check. Along with that, yet another problem with FCB was my checks, statements, online account access, and debit card.  I was never offered checks and when I finally asked about them a few months later because I have bills that couldn't be paid with my credit card, i got absolutely nowhere.. And still to this day don't have any checks, cannot get a straight answer when I ask, and must use an outside card when bills are due. Outside, because Florida Community Bank never got my debit card to me.. I asked for one to be sent, when that one didn't arrive I asked for another, when that one didn't arrive I went into the bank yet again and ask if they can have one mailed there for me and I can just pick it up, and just like my checks my debit card has still never come to me, and the only way for me to get money out of my account is to go to the bank and withdraw it. Which hasn't been a big deal, except when they decide to close on Saturdays and Fridays for non-existent holidays without telling anyone, with no warning, and letting you waste a trip to the bank for absolutely no reason because they need extra time off, probably to think of more ways to take your money. Needless to say, I realized that with all these problems it would just be easier to change banks and drive a little farther to bank with a normal company... So I had brought these problems, and a handful of other problems and headaches that Florida Community Bank has been giving me to my friends one night. To my surprise, they too were having issues with the bank. Without getting into all the details of something that is not my business, the problem came with a 3 dollar overdraft that the bank charged over $30 for. that was the very beginning of what appeared to be a s****.>

At this point, we decided to talk to our other friend / roommate and let him know that we were planning to open accounts at another local bank. Having more problems than us, he agreed. For several months we have been with another bank, we haven't had any problems, and consider our experiences at Florida Community Bank to be closer to a nightmare than a banking experience. obviously, I felt strongly enough about the situation to file a report here.. And I feel it was the proper thing to do. 3 people with good credit and no prior problems with any other banks, all of a sudden have problems and issues on top of problems and issues at Florida Community Bank.. To make things worse we were all new here and the bank is the center of a lifeline if anyone who's moved from home knows. I too noticed money missing from my account once or twice, and now I am guessing it is just like my friend where I was probably overdrafted.  This community is very nice, great people and many places to shop, eat, entertain, and nearly everything else.. Much to my amazement, the bank was really the only thing that I wasn't happy with here. Other banks, even banks that are known for being difficult, or having a long wait so when you go there, have a certain system that we are all used to.. Part of that system is their normal working hours, meaning I don't expect a Saturday to be taken off just because there is a holiday on a Friday and or a Sunday. I am far from rich, and since my debit card or checks mysteriously never got to me and I'm not able to use the ATM or write an IOU, I'm screwed when they decide they need extra time off to lounge around their house or their swimming pool.. Now with the other bank, I can say that I have no more issues with where we moved to. Florida Community Bank is not a place I will ever do business again

Wow,  I  guess  that  I  was  fortunate  that  nothing  like  this  ever  happened  to  me  but  I  empathise  with  all  of  yourselves  who  have  this  same  problem.

I  am  just  glad  that  your  friends,  etc.,  and  your  yourself  are  not  mentioning  that  yourselves  did  not  loose  a  lot  of  money  but  I  hate  to  think  about  it  that  this  is  likely  to  be  true  with  some  of  you.

THANKS  TO  ALL  OF  YOU

There Is NO SCAM With Using Other People's Money

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

Your friend gave themselves overdraft fees because they don't have a clue how much money is in their account when they use the card or write checks.  They do not maintain a check register and they do not maintain an ongoing running balance and check that balance before using the card.  What your friend is doing is just checking the on-line figures which are NOT accurate because there maybe debits which have not made it to the bank.  It happens this way everytime, all the time.

Let me save you the effort, don't bother writing it because I'll tell you right now...I don't work for them!
