Just the facts....

BUYER BEWARE and do your homework. I should have.

I purchased what seemed to be a near new 2014 Yamaha 242 Limited S with less than 60 hours. Given the year, hours and description I went against my better judgement and purchased this boat without an inspection and sight unseen.

When the boat was delivered it looked the part. Until I got it in the water.

Long story short and $3500 later I had purchased a boat with corroded engine components. Boat was advertised as water tested however there's no way the "tester" could not have noticed the starboard engine had serious mechanical issues.

When brought to the attention of the dealer I got no response.

Lesson learned. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
