I got a call from Agents Travel Network and they gave me the Florida Passport deal, too. I cancelled the Agents Travel Network deal with no problem, but the Florida Passport packet of information never came, so I was unable to cancel it.

When I saw the $149 charge had come out of my bank account, I called the bank. They told me the charge was paid because Florida Passport had verbal authorization. I called up Florida Passport because I didn't remember saying any such thing. I made them play the tape for me, and they did.

I had said it was OK to charge me if I didn't cancel, but they set you up for this because they never mail the packet that tells how to cancel!! This makes it a really slimy scam!! So I can't tell the bank I didn't OK the charge, and I'm still waiting to get my refund from Florida Passports!!

They took my money July 5, and they said they'd give me a refund when I called July 15. I called back July 29 to find out why I hadn't heard anything, and she said she'd see a check was mailed out, and I should get it in 7 to 10 days. Needless to say, I'm still waiting... Boy, they must be making a mint on all this money they can get interest on!!

Check still hasn't left the building

AUTHOR: Cheryl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 15, 2005

When I called Florida Passport on July 29, someone named Legina Stevenson said I would get my check in 7 to 10 days. So I called back Aug. 15, giving them a little extra, and talked to someone named Yolanda, who told me the check still hasn't gone out. She said the check would go out "tomorrow", and asked me how long it takes to get mail in California from Florida. When I said a couple days, she said that's when I'd get it. I told her Legina had said I would get it by last Friday, and she said it had to go through the "approval" process. I told her that process should be included in the 7 to 10 days, and she had no comment. I don't know if there's a chance I'll see my money or not!!
