I am a 20-year-old college student in need of reliable transportation. I purchased a car from Floyd's Used Car lot not knowing that it was defective. The car quit within thirty days of purchase and I have been asking for a refund ever since. I bought a 2007 Pontiac g6 with 143,000 miles that instantaneously jumped mileage and literally stopped working. The car stopped in traffic nearly killing myself and the other passengers. I noticed that we were decelerating, and the car just quit. We were in traffic in front of an 18-wheeler that stopped by the grace of God. I instantly called the car lot's representative Stanley Johnson to ask questions when he hung up in my face. My boyfriend and I had to push the car out of traffic while I was three months pregnant. The car had to be left at the site because we could not get it started and the car has not started since.
My boyfriend's uncle came to look at the car in hopes of telling us why it had stopped but the dashboard does not work and his machined could not read it. This leaves me to believe that the car's odometer has been tampered with because the car's gauges do not even work. This huge defect was not disclosed at the time of purchase and there was no way to tell. Once the key is turned, the car runs for about thirty seconds then stalls badly and just quits. Also, my mother and brother both leased cars from this same lot. My mother’s 2009 Dodge Charge is a lemon. She paid them a $2500 deposit and the car has been in the shop ever since. She continues to ask for a refund, but they do not give it to her. They have also stopped taking her phone calls. Her car does not stay running the same as the Pontiac g6. My brother’s truck has not given him major problems as of now, but they did try to change his prices after he had already given his down payment and drive it off the lot.
Ms. Betty Wilkerson, Terry Floyd, and Stanley Johnson are scamming the population and refusing to give refunds. I am sure that there are others out there who are experiencing the same situations with this lot and am planning to get the local news involved. I am asking for justice and am praying for it to be served. I cannot afford to let this go, literally. Please Help Us!

Well there seems to be evidence of Odometer Fraud. Which makes selling the car in the first place ILLEGAL. So that is why I deserve my money that I worked hard for Right Back! Thanks for your response. Any feedback is appreciated!

As Is?

Did this car come with a warranty or was it an "As Is" purchase? This would be obvious to you because there would have been a window sticker telling you this and you would have signed a disclosure statement which also told you. If this was an "As Is" purchase, why would you think you are ENTITLED to free warranty service?
