I was misled into signing up for a monthly subscription to ringtones, something I would never do if I was aware of it!! When I realized what had happened, I immediately tried to cancel my subscription. It does appear that Flycell got my cancelation and agreed to stop my subscription, but I had already gotten AT&T to remove charges from my bill, something that Flycell said they would not do as you can read in the communications below.

Flycell is clearly stealing money from people with their scam and they obviously think they are entitled to it, just read their response. Most customers will think, well its only $10, so why bother? But this company, or individual who is running it needs to be stopped. In this country this type of scam should not be tolerated. I appeal to law enforcement to take a look at this company and shut it down.

Mr. (Customer-- me),

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please know that we have cancelled all services to your cell phone. You will not receive any further charges.

We regret to inform you but we cannot issue a refund. We do not use trickery in our subscription offers.

If you should require any further assistance, please let us know.

Sincerely,
Jed
Flycell Customer Service

My response was as follows:

Dear Jed,

Thank you for your response and for cancelling all services to my cell phone.

Your subscription offer was to "check to see if ringtones were available in my area" or something similar to that wording. I therefore entered my cell phone number.

The next step was to enter a pin number that was given to me by text message. At neither point when I entered information was I informed that I was "subscribing" to a monthly service that would be included in my cell phone bill.

I called AT&T immediately as soon as I found out that you had registered me as a subscriber. I had them remove your charge from my account, so I do not need you to issue me a refund, although I cannot imagine why you would not issue refunds for situations such as mine?

Sincerely,
Customer--me
