I have read the reports on here about Folger Kia and they obviously are still in the practice of deceptive sales tactics. I have bought 2 cars previously from Folger's and have even sent a friend there to buy a car. So now I take my 21 year old daughter there to purchase her first new car end of April. Car picked out and now it was time to make the deal. Deal done, contracts signed, @7 point something interest rate at the price that was affordable for my daughter to pay including the down payment. We leave the trade in  and off we go in the brand new car. 2 weeks later my daughter goes to the dealership about something else and was then told that the deal did not go through. They said the banks would not accept it. Now she would have to bring the car back unless they can work something out. After my wife & I went down to speak with them, they called the next day to let us and my daughter know that a deal has been worked but the payments will be $8.00 more per month and at 9 point something interest rate. New contracts are signed, daughter is happy and away she goes.

After another week and a half, we get another call from Folger's informing us that the last deal did not go through because the bank said that her income is short by $200.00 and they "Think" they could work a deal if she could put another $1,000.00 down to go with the previously agreed upon down payment. They were told she didn't have another thousand dollars, so they will try and work something else out. So after almost a month of having this car and all the wrangling, now they come up with a new deal again. This time it is another $1,000.00 down and at 16% interest (Started out at 7 something), and now payments would be $17.00 more than the initial payments when we left the lot almost a month ago.

In the meantime the finance company for the car we were trading in is demanding payment that has been missed. We had told them previously that they would be receiving the payoff, but did not know that the car was never actually financed though a bank. Folger's Kia will actually have you thinking that you have bought a car by signing all the paperwork with interest rate and payments with their finance guy, and leave in the new car when in fact they have never gotten the deal financed with a bank. This has been a nightmare experience for my daughter in her 1st time buying a new car and she is very embarrassed by it. Although I have bought 2 cars from Folger's previously, I will never do so again nor will I recommend anyone to ever go to Folger's.

I see people have filed reports on here and I wish I would have known about it before hand. I do not know what anybody else has done, but I cannot let this rest until some type of retribution and resolution comes of this. If there are reports on this site, it has to be more out there that have experienced this same problem with Folger's.
