I went into the store looking for some black sneakers and the associate that helped me out (a guy) was really nice.
However, when we went to the cashier to make the purchase. Her attitude was very disrespectful and rude. We only wanted to purchase a pair sneakers but she ncluded a boot protectant on her own. Then we proceded if it was free or if we had to pay for it and she responded saying "Don't worry we'll see". We continued to ask her and she ignored us.
Afterwards we paid for the transactions and left, however we saw that she included the boot protectant and it wasn't free. We went back in the store to return the boot protectant and her attitude was very nasty - ingoring us and being rude. From there we asked to speak to the manager who was also very disrespectful and rude.
The girl started arguing with us and the security guard put his hand on my mother and pushed her out of the store. During the whole thing the manager didn't do a thing.
As a result we just returned everything and got a refund.

Worked for them for 20 years. Here is the deal. They are big on multiple sales.. meaning more than one item per transaction. At times they have $10 off coupons. They will use the coupon to deduct the amount from the shoe and add on the accessory (in this case the boot spray) which gives them 2 items instead on 1 in that transaction for less than the shoe alone. The register actually keeps track of multiple sales by associate and it is a big part of the evaluation process as it should show salesmanship. In this case it shows lack thereof.
