Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
96 Wind stars seem to be having the same problem as the 95 with defective head gaskets. I have a copy of the TSC showing they are aware of the problem, However, Ford isn't assuming responsibility of the problem. They should be recalling the 96 back like they did the 95. I don't feel I should have to pay $4,000.00 to have an engine put in, at the most I should have to pay is the cost of an engine and not the inflated price of labor to put it in.
Most people don't have that kind of money to fork out at a given time, I know I don't. I kind of expected the engine to last longer than 5 or 6 years.

I have a 1996 Ford Winstar (I bought it 5 month ago , 80k miles) that has a head gasket problem. WHen I took it to the dealer for repairs they did not inform me that overheating and head gasket problems are common, but they wont pay for it!!! I'll never buy ford cars.

I am an owner of a 95 Windstar, who has experienced, along with the many other windstar owners, a head gasket problem. My warranty has just expired so I am stuck with a $2,500 expense.
This is a problem that Ford has recognized but refuses to accept full responsibility for.
