Took my F150 in for a simple gas tank strap recall replacement.  Picked it up and was handed a 12 page report by the service advisor which detailed many services my truck "required", some of which were "urgent for safety reasons".  Engine clogged with sludge, oil is changed every 3000 since new, not a spot inside the valve covers which only requires removing the filler cap to see.  Transmission fluid severely contaminated (was flushed and filled less than 10,000 miles prior.  Brake caliper sliding pins all needed lubricated at $70 per wheel (had new brakes all the way around less than 10,000 miles before. 

When I called all this to the advisors attention, he steadfastly stood behind the accuracy of their so called tests and that the work all needed immediate attention.  He was evasive and downright lying to me, and not even apologetic about it.  I had taken my truck there once before for an oil change, they put valvoline motor oil and filter in it.  When I asked why they didn't use MOTOCRAFT products like all FORD dealers, they said their contract was with another company.  What???  Basically using the cheapest they can get to cut corners and maximize profit. 

One week later my transmission started failing, I immediately took the truck there and asked them exactly what they had done to test the fluid.  When faced with an irate customer, he said they had pulled the dipstick out and looked at it, nothing more.  This is quite scientific apparently.  After offering to "look at it" if I wanted to drop it off, with a diagnostic fee of course well over $125, I declined and took it to another Ford dealer where I know the people.   The transmission gears that failed I was told are typical if the car has been put into reverse while vehicle is still rolling, no way to prove that they did anything but it's very suspicious.

But what could be proven was what was in plain sight, when they performed the safety recall on the gas straps, they put the two screws in backward, and had gouged and almost punctured the gas tank.  This place will never see me or touch my vehicles again, they are dishonest and dangerous and uncaring on top of all that.
