The company nor the service dept. mgr Tom Olsen does not stand behind their work. I had my 55K mile, 2008 F-450 diesel repaired there approx.3 weeks ago.

The radiator was leaking and several supporting functions were affected. Some covered by the warranty and some not. F-450 diesel trucks have a 100,000 mile warranty. They are considered heavy duty commercial truks. I left there and drove Seattle to Denver where I found a significant leak in the lower radiator hose. This hose was not replaced during the $3,500.00 repair in Seattle and considered good enough to continue in service.

Groove Ford in Denver, CO. charged almost $400.00 to replace the hose. I spoke with tom Olsen from Kirkland Ford, who said he would speak with the service writer Brian James in Denver. They determined that these large trucks have a propensity to have these kinds of failures. They said it certainly was not caused by any work done by ford of Kirkland. I do not believe their choreographed story about radiator hoses having spontaneous failure at such an early stage. These truck parts are indeed heavy duty. the hose was obviously cut during the removal and reinstallation. During the drive to Denver it worsened and split open. So, if they are right then they choose to sell a weak underperforming commercial use truck. Listen to the salesman tell you about the best built truck.Be careful who you choose to buy from or who you allow to do your repair work.

Tom Olson response.

AUTHOR: TOM OLSON - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 03, 2012

It always is unfortunate when a customer is unhappy with the service we provide. We at Ford of kirkland have  master certified techs so we deal with repairs with confidence. This in no way assures that we won't still expeirence issues with repairs. That is specifically the reason I called the dealer who preformed the repair. I was told by the service advisor handleing the case that the hose failure was not in any way related to our repair.
As an employee who values doing right by the customer and also my employer, there was no way I could in good faith pay the bill for this customer when I was told by the repairing dealer it was unrelated. I would respectfully request the customer to stop this inappropriate  on line finger pointing.
