     I contacted foreclosure defense law center in April 2009 about modifing my home loan. I paid them $2,000.00 up front. They told me to miss 3 mortgage payments, which I did. I specifically asked them if I could modify if I had a FHA loan and they told me absolutely. I asked just say I can't then what, they told me I would get a full refund.

     They called me until I had paid the $2,000.00 in full. They also called me every week with an update and that was we are still in negotation with your mortgage company.

     In July I started to get worried and contacted them to ask why it was taking so long. They told me that the deadline for an answer was coming up and they would contact me within the next week. I did not here from them within that week. I called them 5 or 6 times and never talked to anyone.

      A few days later I recieved a letter from my mortgage company and they were willing to stop foreclosure procedures if I paid $150.00 more a month for two years. I explained that I definitely could not afford an increase if I was having troule paying the lesser.

     I spoke to someone in the litigation department at my mortgage company and asked about the modification and they explained that I could not modify on a FHA loan. That is when I knew I had been scammed. I have called them many times and all I get is a voicemail. I have requested a refund and have yet to hear from them in over a month. I am now in danger of loosing my home. I have 5 children and don't know where we will go if my mortgage company forecloses on my home.
