This place is clearly a scam. I saw their groupon today for 60 units of Botox for $199. http://www.groupon.com/d. I smelled something dirty so I did some basic math. How can they offer this at $3.33 per unit when the wholesale cost is between $3.50-$3.70 per unit? Are they a philanthropic spa or in the business of making money? There is no way, no how that they're injecting more than twenty units for $199. Nobody ever uses less than forty units for their forehead and glabella.

To further confirm my suspicions, the staff told me that they didn't know the name of the doctor who injects Botox at their spa. Wtf is that all about? Is it because the "doctor" either got his degree in The Galapagos Islands or that he's not even a doctor? I'm surmising that it's the latter of the two.

**It even gets better after some more calls and research. During my second call to the clinic, I was told that a doctor doesn't do the injections, a nurse named Sandy does. After looking at http://Sunbiz.org and the Florida Board of Nursing, I found out that RN Sandra Mendizabal owns this spa that opened in May of this year. Only PA's and nurse practioners can inject Botox and/or fillers, not RN's according to the Florida Medical Board. Those PA's and nurse practioners have to be under the supervision of a physician. RN's can not work in a satellite office that doesn't have the doctor on-site. A physician can not supervise more than four satellite offices. The Botox must be kept in the possession of the physician who, according to the spa, doesn't even come in their office so how is it in his possession? An employee told me that Dr. Ernesto Fernandez is the supervising physician. He attended medical school in Havana, Cuba which is a huge surprise. :)

On December 7, 2007, the Board of Nursing issued a statement that "the procedure of botox injection(s) and sclerotherapy is outside the scope of prevailing standards of nursing practice for both the licensed practical nurses and registered nurses in the State of Florida".
