 Doing a refinance inSouth Lake Tahoe, California and had an appraiser show up from Forsythe Appraisals LLC. Guy maybe spent 30 minutes at the house and had to be shown features of the house he missed when questioned. This appraisal was done in early June 2015. I had a previous appraisal done in November 2015 that came in at $535,000. Forsythe's Appraisal, in June mind you, comes in at $520,000. They now expect me to believe that housing values are lower in June than in November. Report contains multiple errors including the fact that he's valued the house less than an older, smaller house less than a mile away. Complained to two Branch Managers; one was completely apathetic and the other didn't bother responding.

I then took the matter to the CEO of the firm who queried the appraiser and big surprise he can't be wrong. Instead of a second review I get the "oh well, best of luck" e-mail from the CEO. So this shoddy work will cost me about $15,000 - $20,000 in money I need to bring in or I'll need to start over. By the way, I could sell the house tomorrow for $550,000. I've noticed in other online complaints and in the correspondence from the CEO that they appear to use "political" responses of that they can't control this or that but the fact is you get the brush off instead of a deep dive attempt at customer satisfaction.
