I purchased the car from Fox Chevrolet in Laurel, MD on 3/3/2007. I decided to buy the extended warranty with the manufacturers warranty still in affect. The dealership supplied me with a CarFax report and a Pre-Owned Vehicle Inspection Check List which stated the car had never been in an accident. Shortly after purchasing the car it overheated and broke down. It was towed to the dealership where car was purchased. They informed me they could not fix the car because it was a Dodge and their Service Department could not handle a repair of this magnitude. It was then towed to Laurel Dodge for repair. Because the car overheated there was Major engine damage and all 4 cylinder heads had to be replaced, the valves, camshaft, upper engine gaskets, manifold and all seals, retainers valves and springs had to be replaced.

The day after picking up the car the check engine light came on and the car broke down again. During this time the car was in the shop for 3 weeks. Again in August the check engine light came on again and the car was returned to the shop for another 5 days. In October the car was leaking oil. It was back in the shop in October and then again in November for the same problems.

Then in May 2008 the power steering pump went bad and the car was leaking oil Again. It was back in another shop where they replaced the power steering pump and the oil pan. It was in the shop for another 6 days. After experiencing all of this I decided to trade the car in. I went back to Fox Chevrolet, they informed me that it was not their problem. I then took it to CarMax on April 28th. I was informed that the car was only worth $3,000. This was because the car had been in a Major accident. Both the left front and passenger doors were not the original doors and the right rear door and left quarter panel had been repainted.

I purchased the car on 3/3/2007 for $8,033.00, the car was appraised on 4/28/2008, 13 months later at $3,000.00. The car has depreciated over $5,000 in 13 months. Due to this and the many Major repairs that the car has endured it is obvious that the car is a major defect and should be considered a Lemon. I never would have purchased the car in the first place if I had been told it had been in a major accident.
