purchased a vehicle from Frank Meyer. Had trouble with the car from day 4. I took the car back to the dealership, they "fixed" it and sent me on my way. Long story short...I took this car back to this dealership every day for two weeks and never got it fixed. They had it for two weeks and never called me to let me know what was wrong or if I could come get it. I called...oh yesh its ready come get it was the reply I got. Got two exits from the dealership and the car started to shake again and turned around took it back,. This time they had no rental cars for me. because I was upset and was not pleasant.
Once again they had the car several days and once again once I got home the car was still doin the samee thing. I went through this for 45 days until one day while driving it started smoking real bad. Called the wrecker to tow the car to the dealership. (had the car back there at least every other day)
To this day, my car still sits on the lot, not fixed. No one will return my calls. It has been since 9/15/11 today is 3/25/12. I continue to pay insurance and a car payment every month so My credit dont go bad. But I dont have anything to show for it. I have contacted this dealership time and time again. Ironically, I am always placed on hold or hung up on.
I asked that my monies be returned so I can go elsewhere to purchase a vehicle that actually works. No reply. Put on forever hold, laughed at, told someone would get back to me. Im still waiting. I asked to speek to the owner and was told each time for two months that he was on vacation.
I still have a very large debt., pay pament every month, pay insurance every month, just so my car can sit on their lot, being ignored just as i have been for 6months now. Very Very unhappy with this dealership. Dont reccomend anyone go to this place.

Read your purchase contract too. Was the car sold "As Is"? Does it specify that the car has a written warranty? If you don't have a copy of the warranty, then get a copy from the dealership. If they won't provide it to you, then you have no way to enforce the repair through this dealership except through a lawsuit. In order to pursue a lawsuit you have to prove it is the responsibility of the dealership for your vehicle repair. For that, you need to show their responsibility in a contract. A warranty is a contract too.
However, more importantly why would you let them continue to keep the vehicle? Pick it up and take it to a real mechanic. It's obvious they have no intension to fix your vehicle. Since you are paying for the car and the insurance and don't have use of the vehicle - get it fixed by someone else. Someone that is reputable and knows what they are doing. You will have to pay for it. But when you own a vehicle, it is the responsibility of the owner (you) to pay for repairs unless you have a (warranty) contract stating otherwise. Then you will have the evidence to prove damages against the dealership (as long as you also have a written warranty detailing their responsibilities).
If you have no warranty, then you have no reason to expect the dealer to repair your vehicle. You can't force repairs on a dealership when it is not specified in the written contract or a written warranty. Verbal agreements are not enforceable. No, I don't work for the dealership, but I wouldn't let them keep my car months on end without a repair! It's time to take action to get your vehicle back now.
