Based solely on a friend's recommendation, I took my car to Frankie's for repair to my front fender.
I contacted Frankie's on April 13, 2007 to find out if they could repair my car the week of April 16.They said they would order the parts on April 16 and work on the car on April 18. I dropped the car off the evening of April 17. I followed up with them on April 18 and they said the car would be ready on Friday April 20.
I called again on April 20, only to find out that they never got the parts and contacted my insurance company to get alternate part approval. Then they told me the car would not be ready until April 23 or 24.
I found out later that the reason for the delay is because they wanted to wash my car and did not have employees available to do that. I told them, had I known I would have declined the wash and just taken my car back on Friday.
I had personal items in my car, including two pairs of brand new sneakers (at a cost of $49.95each). When I finally received my car back, they removed everything inside the car and put it in a trash bag in the trunk. My sneakers were missing.
On April 25, I spoke with the owner Frankie about the missing sneakers and he refused to listen, told me I was a problem person and he wanted nothing more to do with me. He then said we didn't see or take your sneakers and besides they don't fit us..my thought is if you didn't see or remove my sneakers how do you know they don't fit?
Additionally, why was it necessary to remove the sneakers which were on the passenger seat of the car in order to wash the outside of the car?
All I want are my sneakers returned and if that is not possible then to be reimbursed for the cost of the sneakers. I have the receipt and one of the pairs I had not yet worn!

Fact: I provided copies of the receipt for purchase of 2 pairs of sneakers. Regardless, of what they claim - the question is - why were the sneakers missing from the car? They fail to answer that question.
Fact: I took them to Middlesex County Small Claims court and received a judgement against Frankie's Auto Body from the court. All this is on file with the courthouse - so there is no false filing - go check it out yourself at the courthouse - It's case #MID SC 001249-07.
Fact: After receiving the judgment, I finally received a letter and check from Mr. Frankie himself reimbursing for the loss of my sneakers and the court filing fees.
One can tell all the lies one wants, but one cannot dispute facts!

Frankies Auto body has been in business for 30 years in those 30 years we've never had any problems like this before. All vehicles that enter our facility are under 24 hour surveillance and locked behind a secure gate, we treat your car as if it was ours, I'd like to explain the real story which involved Miss. B, on April 07.
Miss B dropped off her vehicle to our shop, it was after hours so we never saw her face to face and at the time of release of her vehicle we dropped the vehicle off at her house cause she was working and unable to pick it up,so we did her a favor. When we started working on Miss. Blooms vehicle ,well before we could work on it we had to clear the car out it looked like a cyclone hit it, so we removed all of her belongings placed them in a box in back of her car.
In her car there was indeed two pairs of old worn sneakers, there was never a new pair of sneakers in her vehicle at the time it was in our shop.The car was so bad we only washed the outside of the vehicle and tried to do the inside the best we could, with car being so messy.(we really don't like messing with peoples personal belongings, most people take out personal belongings, before coming in for repairs)
Miss B stated in her complaint she gave us a
bill showing proof of her purchase that is not true, she never provided us with any proof of purchase of sneakers, Second she sent us letters from small claims court that she made up that wasn't even filed through the courts.
(false papers), to make a long story short we ended up giving her the money she stated she paid for these sneakers.
This is the only complaint we had in 30 years, our reputation is our business !!
