I had taken out Auto insurance with Fred Loya and in within the next few months I had a driver hit my 2002 Honda civic on the left front fender damaging the fender, tearing off the front bumper , breaking the tie rod underneath and bending my left front wheel in at the bottom and out at the top. I called and asked Fred Loya Insurance to grant me more coverage to be able to have my 2002 Honda repaired and they told me " oh your 2002 Honda is too old fro more coverage"!

This was an attempt by Fred Loya Insurance to avoid having to pay for the damage to my 2002 Honda! TI would advise anyone considering this company to note that an attorney I spoke with concerning the matter told me "Fred Loya Insurance is at the top of our Black List as being theworst company you could be insured by"!! I would advise anyone considering Fred Loya to think again!!!

Your post makes no sense

AUTHOR: John - (United States)

So you had insurance on your 2002 Honda Civic, and then had an accident, and called your insurance company to ask them to "grant you more coverage so you could get" your car repaired?  Or are you saying you asked for more coverage before the accident and they refused to give you more coverage because the car was too old, and now you've been in an accident and can't get the car repaired because your coverage level is too low?

Either way, you have no cause for complaint against your insurance company.  If you called to get more coverage AFTER the accident (which is how your post reads,)  well, that's just nuts- no insurance company is going to give you more coverage on a car AFTER it's been in an accident and then cut you a check to repair that car based on the higher coverage.  If you called before the accident and are now angry because you WANTED more coverage and they wouldn't sell it to you, you still have no cause for complaint because nothing stopped you from going to another company.

If another driver hit you why are you not going through that person's Insurance?

If they don't have insurance, then does your policy include coverage for "Uninsured Drivers"? Do you have "Full Coverage", that is Comprehensive and Collision in additon to Liability?

If you did not have Full Coverage at the time of the accident, even if they do add it now you wouldn't get to then retroactivly use it for the accident. Insurance just doesn't work that way, and in fact you would then be bordering on Insurance fraud if you then tried to make a claim.

If their insurance is not covering the damages, and you don't have the appropriate coverage, then you may have to go about filing a suit against the other driver in Small Claims. If by chance you did have the proper coverage and your insurance is just refusing to pay, then you may need to file a complaint with your State's Insurance Commissioner.
