Although I realize that freeadvice.com is a free legal advice website, I did not get ripped off monetarily. I posted a legal question and got insult after insult for it. When I googled free legal advice it was the first thing that popped up so I went adhead and asked a legal question. Come to find out that ANYONE with and email address can register, ask AND ANSWER the legal questions. I mean anyone.

I clicked on several questions to read the answers and in doing so I notice they were doing it to every one. I'm talking about "senior members" who you would think be legal proffessionals gave out the most insults. So please if you need help with a legal matters do not go to free advice.com find another website because it is a waste of time.

I feel sorry for the companies that are funding this terrible website because they are wasting their advertising dollars endorsing such a ridiculous site who is no help to anyone.

I'm sure the OP just clicked on I agree and did not bother to actually read it.

I have found that in 25 years working in Corporate America, 99.9% of people make a choice NOT TO READ any information provided.

Then whine about it later

Stay away from that site

The OP is correct. And this is the 3rd RipOff Report about the site. You should search for 'freeadvice' and 'freeadvice.com' to get the reports.
Also, there are posts that have been locked and members banned for threatening to speak with the boards owner.
The so called advice givers seem to have one goal in mind: attack the vulnerable. If you want a headache, join the site and try interacting with a bunch of malcontents who find pleasure in attacking site visitors.

You agreed to their terms and conditions when you registered

The terms and conditions on that site are pretty clear, as is the disclaimer at the bottom of every page in the forum.

Here is a key phrase:

"You understand and agree that information on FreeAdvice or a Forum, even posted by an attorney or moderator, should not be relied upon and is not a substitute for advice from an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction who you have retained to represent you."

and another one:

"Although FreeAdvice attempts to delete objectionable messages from the Forum, it operates in real time and does not review material before posting. All messages express the views of the author, and neither FreeAdvice, its parent company or affiliates, nor Jelsoft will be held responsible for any content, any posting or any message."
