Free Credit Nation Credit Monitoring No way to cancel and still charged me 29.95 Braselton, Georgia

Applied for account with Free Credit Nation on March 4, 2011. That was a friday. I had read the whole homepage and it had given me the impression it would show me all three reports. Now the information stating more than one report was in small print but through reading the homepage I got that impression. When I did get a report it was from TransUnion and it did not even show me where the account were being disputed.

The website stated I had to call customer service to cancel the account. I would have had to cancel it on Sunday and this company was not open on Sunday. If asked why I didn't call on Saturday I would have said that Saturday was part of my trial period plus I had a son that had been in car accident and I was sitting at hospital on Saturday and it was not part of what I was thinking about.

I know I tried to get in touch with customer service on Monday. Don't remember how long I waited but never talked to anyone. Called back on Tuesday and Wednesday and held both days for at least 20 minutes and I tried several times.

When I finally got hold of someone on Thursday I was told that since I went over my trial period I would be charged 29.95. This was after I explained to the representative what I had done, when I had called and was told that I still went over my trial period and would be charged. Rep went from charging me the full 29.95 to offering me a 25.00 gift card to some website back to charging me the 29.95.

1- I was not given a good report.
2- Company was not open to cancel account within my trial period.
3- Was put on hold for 20 minutes and over to get in touch with customer service.
4- Could not cancel online. Must call in.

Before using this company be very sure you are aware you will get one report with little information on report.
