I took a job with the Freedom Boat Club in Feb 2013 with an agreement of
getting 10% commission on the memberships I sold. Karen Berry is their so called director who did nothing but lie, cheat and steal my pay. The first commission check I was offered was $1700 light and I got nothing but excuses when I asked why. Karen Berry is an ugly old bag who congratulates you when you make a sale knowing that she will screw you out of your pay weeks later, That is the lowest form of life that walks the earth. The best part is when I had to ask for my paycheck a day late they handed it to me almost $2000 short and said "be sure to check it over for mistakes we make them all the time!" can you believe a business
owner would say something like that to an employee or anyone for that matter. . .I ended up having to threaten them with going public with my story and they agreed to give me some of the money they owed with a promise to pay the rest next week. . ...that was a week ago! Now when I call I get no answer or call back.

Their boats are unsafe pieces of sh**and they don't even own them. Their checks constantly bounce and their credit cards are constantly being declined because they are going broke.
It's hard to believe that people will try to steal pay from working people but there is no limit to how low the owners and staff at Freedom Boat Club will go in order to save a buck. Chris Speckman, Paul Speckman, and Karen Berry are the trio of thieves that own the
franchise, I will be in contact with the corp. office to let them know that the SC location is giving them all a bad name. Karen Berry is the nasty worn out old lady voice that does the surf report twice a day on the radio station 94.9 the surf she has a nasty irritating sea hag voice you can't miss it. She walks around with flip flops on with a toe that's half chewed off it's disgusting!!!

So if you have been approached or called by Freedom Boat Club don't do business with them or you will end up wondering what happened to your money just like me. They should
all be locked up for doing business the way that they do it makes me sick!! I hope this helps at least one person from getting scammed by these losers and I hope they go out of business soon just like the last owners did. It's funny because they were absolutely not going to pay me until they found out that the public will find out how shitty they are then they wanted to settle quietly, It's amazing what some business owners will try to get away with until they see the customers will find out. 

UPDATE! Chris Speckman called the police to try to stop me from posting this complaint but they couldn't do anything about it! Now they claim to have contacted their attorney and refuse to pay at all, I'm not at all surprised, like I said beware of Freedom Boat Club they are
dishonest and will take your money. They kept $725 of my cash I hope it's worth it to have the public know what you are!

***5/23/13 another update!! Karen Berry tried her luck at having me arrested with a different police department. . ..again no luck, It seems to me that simply paying would be the easiest solution. . ..unless you don't have it in the bank to give of course. It is a sure sign of
desperation to try to use the police department to silence someone who is warning the general public about their shady business practices. If you are a customer don't complain to Karen Berry or she'll call police and try to make up lies to put you in jail..Thanks!
