Freedom Gold I was contacted to get free trial from Freedom Gold. If I did not want it I had seven days to cancel and not be charged. Received info on day I had to call & because of weather did not have phone. Called when phone was back on and already charged. Told to send in package & would receive refund. Never happened. I was contacted by Freedom Gold to receive free packet to look over for seven days and decide if I wanted it. I was told that I would have seven days from the time I received the packet in mail, not from the call and I would not be charged.

I received the packet in the mail the day I had to call by to cancel (22nd) or get charged and we had a big noreaster that day, which was the day before Thanksgiving, and my phone was out. If was turned back on that Friday, (24th) and I immediately called to cancel.

I had already been charged and I spoke with a supervisor to let them know that I recieved the packet the day it was due and had no phone for two days. He said there was nothing he could do because it had already been charged. He told me that he would cancel it that day and if I mailed back the packet to them, I would recieve a refund check in the mail.

I mailed the packet back and have not received anything. Everytime I call I get put on hold and no one every answers the phone.

Because my account was charged the $149 and I was not expecting it, I caused two checks I had already written to bounce and I have been charged $70 by my bank because of that.

I want the $149 back and would like to have the $70 as well, but I doubt that will happen.
