Freedom Grant Information Services ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Saint Petersburg, Florida

If you receive a phone call from anyone from the Freedom Grant Information Services, hang up immediately, or tell them to leave you alone, or don't answer at all, if you here from any of these numbers 727-471-0419, 727-471-0403, 001-819 and possibly 503-531-7500. Their gig is to call you up after bank hours and tell you that you are one of few that have been picked to receive a federal grant up to about $50,000.

The guy I talked to had a very heavy middle eastern accent and was difficult to understand his grammar. He also said that in order to receive the paper work for this grant, that I would have to pay $239, but was fully refundable if I did not receive my grant.

I was not convinced, and while on hold, I decided to look up their "company" on the internet, and the first 10 or so things that popped up were all about how this company is a scam, and it sounded like it was, especially being "too good to be true".

When I told the guy, Ritchie Wilson, the guy with the very heavy middle eastern accent, that I did not have my account information available, he was very persistent on having me look for it right then and there, instead of calling me back, or me calling him. I then told him that there was no way I could get my account info for him, and he promptly hung up on me.
