Freedom Mortgage Corporation Delayed action fraudulent information ripoff too(?) Mount Laurel New Jersey

I contacted Lendingtree.com in July of 2003; and Freedom Mortgage was one of the companies that responded and was promised a rate of 5.25 with the APR at 5.419%.

I had to give them $500 up front; for the home appraisal and the loan documentation fees; but was told the loan doc. fees would be credited if when the loan went through.

This company was so anxious for my business in the beginning, and as soon as they had my funds; the service tapered off.

I was told a "local" appraiser would be appraising my property in California, but it turned out to be someone from another county.

I sent them all the paperwork they asked for, but they kept asking for more and more items via email with three day delays in between me contacting them.

I was never able to get a hold of anyone, save the original loan officer; and my calls were never returned. I was only contacted via email with the "normal" delay.

After two months, I was told they couldn't guarantee the original locked in rate and would increase my loan by another 0.25%. I contacted the original loan officer on this and balked. The firm of Freedom Mortgage had dragged this on and the delay in the loan was no fault of mine.

Of course the loan ended up being along the line of 5.835% due to the various fees.

My loan finally closed after almost three months of delays. I still have not received my monies from the escrow company, and in fact no one has contacted me even though I've left a message at the escrow company.
