On August 1, 2001 a representive named Kenny Johnson #182, room #55555. He offered me a deal I knew was too good to be true, but being in a finacial jam, I thought it would help me straigten my credit.
They told me if I would pay them $221.95 they would give me a unsecured credit card of $2500.00 with a discount package. After allowing them to direct deposit $221.95 out of my checking account, I received the package a month later.
Once I received the package I recognized the card they promised me was a secured credit card where I had to deposit money on the card. I called the company at the number that was printed on my bank statement. I spoke to a reprentive who said his name was Michael Andrew Smith #305, who assured me if I would send the package back, I would receive a refund of 201.95. They would keep $20.00 for processing fee. That was find with me, I sent the package back certified and received a tracking number. Once the tracking number showed me the package was received I call Freedom resource back at 678-239-0133 and a representive told me my check would be processed on Feb. 15,2002.
On Feb. 30, 2002 I called back and ask why I have not received my refund, they went on to tell me that my check will not be mailed out until March 28, 2002. I waited and waited until April 15, 2002 no check. Tried to call back haven't been able to get through all I receive is busy signals. Some one please tell me what I need to do to get my money back. I have my tracking numbers for the package I sent back and the address I sent it too.
If I don't get my money back I just want to make everyone aware of this Freedom Resource, they are not out to help you, and it is too good to be true. I pray that eventually that they are caught and made liable for their ripping innocent, hard working people off. If any of this information I have could help anyone help us, please let me know. May God Bless you all and be more alert of those to good to be true deals.

The timeline you give is excellent! You mention that by April 15, you still receive no check. At the end of April, their offices got raided by Investigator Boucher. You might want to call this number: Consumer Affairs: 1-404-656-3789 to file your complaint, and to get an update about the pending investigation. You can access article: http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=56049&view for the direct source of that Consumer Affairs number. There may be a way to collect that refund or just to make sure your name is added to the list, when it is time for prosecution. This information was submitted May 29, 2003 so the situation may be radically different, maybe you could let us know.
If you can, please get back to us about the progress of the Investigation, and results for calling Consumer Affairs. If there is a Class Action Lawsuit, Refund Process it would be helpful to share the udated information, with others in your situation.
Thank you.
Hope this helps.
