Freedom Walk in Tubs & Showers Bait and switch ripoff for elderly and handicapped Tempe Arizona

I was searching to purchase an American Standard walk in tub. I clicked on what appeared to be a link to the American Standard website but was redirected to the Freedom Walk in Tubs and Showers company. The woman who called me never said that they were NOT American Standard but that they scammed off of a brand name. She sent a saleman over who after a big sales pitch kept talking about Freedom tubs. I asked him point blank if they were American Standard and he said no. I told him I was confused because when I called the woman I spoke to said that the company was indeed American Standard (a big lie).

In addition to all of this, they wanted to charge us 16k to put in a tub. I had already done research on these tubs and they were no where close to that price. After some wheeling and dealing on his part, which included a phone call to the owner of the company where he offered to cut the price in half, the salesman said, don't worry, if you can find it cheaper you can call us and we'll honor that price plus 5% extra off or you can cancel legally within three days of signing the contract. We were never shown the contract legalese on the back until after he handed us the paperwork and left. 

We canceled the contract the same day, well within our legal rights to do so, in writing to three different people INCLUDING the owner of the company. They refused the cancelation because they said it needed to be done by certified mail. What nonsense! email communication IS IN WRITING! In addition to that, certified mail is still snail mail and still has no guarantee of getting there within the three day time frame making email the better way to communicate the cancelation.

This is simply their way to cheat elderly and handicapped people, of which we are both; excluding any and all moral obligation to not cheat but do honest business. Everything that they did from the get go was dishonest and I would recommend staying as far away from them as possible. I don't even know if they really do tubs and showers at this point.
