Greg Heller was our official "photographer" for my very first wedding - needless to say, an incredibly important day in our lives. We felt like his work was mediocre, but it was what we could afford, being a young couple right out of college, and we figured someone at this level would be "hungry" for portfolio work and therefore reliable. Boy, were we wrong.
Despite things going pretty well, the day of our wedding came, and Greg Heller (aka Gregory Alan Heller of http://www.gregsimages.com) was nowhere to be found. I could not believe it! I started crying, sweating and shaking - the most important day of my life, and no wedding photographer. We even considered postponing our wedding. He was completely unreachable by phone, or even email. We ultimately decided to proceed with the wedding without even having a photographer. Thank heaven my brother was there with his digital camera, or we would have had nothing.
The next day we get a call from this person apologizing and all that, but I wasn't interested in excuses - this was the most important day of my life, and he had ruined it. Well imagine my horror, when his "reason" was that he had been up late at a party the night before my wedding day! I immediately broke down and cried when he told me this. I demanded a refund; he refused, and even sounded smug about the whole ordeal.
I guess our only option at this point is small claims court.
If anyone has any advice, or has had similar dealings with this "professional photographer," please email me - I'm all ears. I highly doubt we are the only people he has done this to :(

WAY TO GO greg heller, for trying to throw mud at one of the FEW web sites (ripoffreport.com) that gives VICTIMS like me of SCAM ARTISTS like you.
How DARE you! You can DENY DENY DENY all you want in public Greg Hellar, but my husband and I are well aware of what DAMAGES you caused us, not only financially but emotionally as well - and the COURTS will soon know as well!
I think the video below depicting you in SEXUALLY DEVIANT behavior should prove to anyone doing a google search (google for "Greg Hellar Gay" and it's the FIRST thing to come up!) on you JUST how bizarre you are:

This is exactly why web sites like this are so helpful.
Here I thought i was the only one. I never hired the guy for a wedding (thank God, apparently), but being an avid surfer here in Honolulu, I thought his pictures were cool, so I ordered over a hundred bucks worth of crap from his web site. I got the prints in and they were horrible. I wrote the guy asking for a refund, and yeah, that was about three months ago.
Just like you, I still haven't heard anything back from the guy (if he even really exists!).
Chalk it up to another internet scam...

What kind of a question is that Greg (yes we know that's you Greg!)? photography is CRITICAL to a wedding. And if you read my complaint, we CONSIDERED not going forward because you weren't there. But, we decided to move forward.
And yes, DUH, this was my first wedding! I'm only 21 after all! Or do you even REMEMBER us?

Two things I find kind of strange about this post. "..for my VERY FIRST WEDDING..." I don't know what kind of Freudian slip that is. Unless she intends on having many more weddings "We even considered postponing our wedding". WHO cancels their wedding because the photographer didn't show up?

Thank you GREG HELLER for pouring SALT into our wounds!! UNBELIEVABLE!
First this "photographer" completely STANDS US UP on the most IMPORTRANT day of our LIVES, then IGNORES our every communication attempt. Then after ALL that, instead of owning up to what he did and making good on this situation, he comes on here with some RIDICULOUS story about a photography forum? Get REAL!
You WILL be hearing from our attorney.
As for you having not "done weddings for years" - that doesn't suprise me - YOU SURE DIDN'T DO OURS!!!
